Job summary

AdventHealth Parker, CO is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our day shift team in a full-time capacity. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families. Collaboration with medical staff, accurate documentation, and continuous improvement are essential.

RN licensure and BLS are required, with ADN acceptable and a BSN preferred. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• RN with current license and BLS required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent relevant nursing experience.
• RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; ADN required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients across physical, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Create and update individualized care plans; reassess as needed.
• Administer medications and therapies per orders; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate care with medical staff and departments to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately in the medical record.
• Monitor infection control and safety compliance to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care within the healthcare team.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly and effectively.
