Job summary

AdventHealth in Parker, Colorado is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our surgical services team. You will assess patients, implement care plans with an interdisciplinary team, administer medications, monitor progress, and document care in electronic health records.

Qualifications

• RN license with Associate's degree in Nursing (required).
• Perioperative/surgery experience (minimum 1 year) (required).
• Proficient in EMR/EHR and computer skills (required).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and create individualized care plans.
• Implement care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments per prescribed protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans for optimal outcomes.
• Document care activities in medical records.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and post-discharge care.
• Advocate for patient safety and prevent risks.
• Collaborate with healthcare team for coordinated care.
• Maintain sterile environment and safety protocols.
• Perform IVs, wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Provide emotional and physical support during recovery.
• Engage in quality improvement to enhance care.
