Job summary

Ascension is hiring in Austin, TX for a Full-time RN role in the Plastics and Hand Surgery department. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with travel required.

Lead clinical excellence, develop individualized patient care roadmaps, and oversee therapy program delivery while mentoring the nursing team and maintaining thorough documentation to ensure safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Diploma in nursing or bachelor’s degree with active RN license and MSN entry plan.
• Enrollment in Alternate Entry MSN program with 1 year completed.
• Prefers 3–5 years of active RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical excellence by serving as the primary resource for nursing standards and evidence‑based patient care.
• Create individualized care plans with actionable roadmaps for patient recovery and therapy.
• Oversee therapy program delivery, ensuring equipment and resources for patients.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• Prefers 3-5 years of active RN experience.
