Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, WI. This full-time, 36-hour workweek includes day shifts with on-call duties and weekend rotation based on staffing.

You will coordinate unit staffing, lead nursing and support staff, and contribute to staff performance evaluations while ensuring high-quality patient care in the cath lab environment.

Qualifications

• BLS within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date required.
• RN credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing prior to hire date or transfer date required.
• Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if multi-state/Compact.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned area.
• Assign, direct, educate and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
• Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff.
• Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuring population-appropriate patient care.
• Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
• May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating staff.

Department:Cath Lab

Schedule:Full-time days | 36 hours per week | M-F daytime hours with on-call responsibility at least 1 day per week and a rotation on the weekends based on staffing

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

Must at least 3 years of cath lab/IR experience.
