Job summary

Ascension Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. This full-time day-shift position requires calling on occasion for nights, weekends or holidays, with a focus on patient care coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration.

You will implement care plans, monitor patient status, execute physician orders, and assist with discharge planning. BLS is required; RN licensure in Oklahoma and ACLS preferred, with comprehensive nursing

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be current and obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing before hire date.
• ACLS or equivalent Advanced Life Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate care across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notice and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assist with discharge planning in coordination with the healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.
