Ascension St John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking an experienced RN for Labor and Delivery on a Full-Time Night shift. The role focuses on coordinating care, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring orders are carried out accurately within a collaborative team.

You will work with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to deliver high-quality maternal care and newborn outcomes, while meeting licensure and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire is required.
• RN license from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing before hire date.
• 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead individualized patient care plans and adjust as needed.
• Record and communicate patient condition changes to the interdisciplinary team.
• Note and execute physician/APP orders accurately and safely.
• Coordinate care across physical therapy, social work, pharmacy and others.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead the Care Journey: You will implement and continuously monitor individualized patient care plans, adjusting strategies based on real-time observation to ensure the highest quality of care and optimal outcomes.
• Essential Communication: Accurately record, track, and effectively communicate changes in patient condition and progress to the entire interdisciplinary team, ensuring proactive and timely interventions.
• Precision and Execution: Flawlessly note and carry out physician and advanced practice provider orders, maintaining adherence to clinical protocols and playing a critical role in the delivery of treatment.
• Interdisciplinary Orchestration: Act as the primary coordinator for all clinical disciplinesâfrom physical therapy to social work and pharmacyâto ensure seamless, cohesive, and collaborative patient care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
