Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Invasive Cardiology/Cath Lab area in Panama City, FL. The role involves patient assessment, preparation, sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and coordination of procedures under physician oversight.

A dedicated day shift and full-time schedule are offered. Minimum qualifications include Florida RN licensure, nursing diploma, BLS, and 2+ years in Cath Lab or IR with critical care experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of RN experience in a Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology
• Critical care experience required
• On-Call, weekend, and holiday rotation requirements
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures.
• Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
• Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
• Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
• Set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
• Critical care experience required.

Additional Preferences

• 2+ years of RN experience in a Cath Lab, or Interventional Radiology (IR).
• Critical care experience required
• On-Call, weekend, and holiday rotation requirements
