Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Laboratory for adult and geriatric patients. You will work with physicians, monitor procedures, and ensure equipment readiness.

Requirements include a BSN preferred, active RN license, BCLS and ACLS on hire, and one year of cardiovascular lab or critical care experience. This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular lab.

• Monitors physiologic/hemodynamic data during procedures and ensures readiness of room/equipment.
• Obtains supplies and supports the cardiovascular team for each case.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Monitors and records patients condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
• Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
• One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
