Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet seeks a Cath Lab Tech (ARRT-R required) to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a fast-paced cardiology unit. You’ll scrub in, monitor real-time hemodynamics, and collaborate with physicians to ensure patient safety and high-quality care in the procedure suite.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R certification and state licensure required.
• Experience in an Interventional Radiology department preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required on hire; ACLS within 30 days.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in life‑saving cardiac procedures – work side‑by‑side with physicians during diagnostic and interventional cases.
• Own the procedure room – scrub in, maintain sterile technique, and ensure everything is ready for seamless cases.
• Monitor what matters most – track real‑time hemodynamic data that directly impacts patient outcomes.
• Keep operations running strong – manage supplies, equipment, and room readiness at a high level.
• Grow within a skilled team – support training, collaborate with peers, and be part of continuous improvement.
• Make an impact across cases – contribute to both invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• ARRT-R and licensed as required by State; VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred.
• Previous experience in a Interventional Radiology department preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.
