Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital in IL seeks an RN to join the Cardiovascular Cath Lab team. This full-time day-shift role provides direct care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.

Requires BSN preferred, active RN license, BCLS and ACLS on hire, plus at least one year in a CV Lab or Critical Care setting. Includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active RN license required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS on hire and maintained; required.
• One year of clinical Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in the cardiovascular lab setting.
• Communicates with physicians continuously about patient condition.
• Assists with equipment maintenance and inventory; ensures readiness.
• Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures and records patient status.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and performance improvement initiatives.

Facility:Olympia Fields Hospital

Location:Olympia Fields, IL

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Monitors and records patients condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. 1. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
2. 2. Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
3. 3. Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
4. 4. One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $38.18 to $57.87. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
