Job summary

Ascension's Via Christi in Derby, KS seeks a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab to provide vigilant hemodynamic monitoring and sedation during cardiac catheterization procedures. This day shift, full-time role collaborates with physicians, technologists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and smooth workflow.

The position requires a nursing diploma, KS RN license, ACLS within 6 months, BLS within 30 days, and preference for 1+ year ICU/critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Critical Care experience in ICU or high-acuity settings preferred.
• Nursing Diploma from an accredited program.
• RN license issued by the Kansas Board of Nursing before hire date.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire date; BLS within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hemodynamic monitoring and sedation during cardiac catheterization procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists and the multidisciplinary team to maintain seamless communication before, during and after interventions.
• Prepare procedural suites, sterile equipment and supplies to guarantee timely starts and peak readiness.
• Document and maintain comprehensive clinical details to ensure continuity of care across the patient journey.

• Deliver vigilant hemodynamic monitoring and sedation support to ensure patient safety and comfort during cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists and multidisciplinary team members before, during and after interventions to maintain seamless communication.
• Prepare specialized procedural suites, sterile equipment and medical supplies to guarantee timely procedure starts and peak clinical readiness.
• Champion personalized patient care plans and record comprehensive clinical details to safeguard continuity of care across the patient journey.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Additional Preferences

• Critical Care Expertise: 1+ years of recent experience in an ICU or high-acuity Critical Care environment to ensure patient safety in complex scenarios.
