Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Practical/Vocational Nurse to join Ascension Medical Group in Wichita, KS. The role centers on delivering cardiology patient care with a day shift, full-time schedule and direct clinical support.

You will monitor patient well-being, administer medications, and assist with diagnostics while ensuring safety and adherence to licensing standards. Education for patients and families supports confident transitions home.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Practical Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
• Required licensure/certification may substitute education/experience.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
