Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) in Hazard, KY seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive patient care across departments in collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team. • BLS certification required
• De-Escalation training within 6 months of hire
• Advanced Dysrhythmia/EKG knowledge required

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessments and formulates plan of care
• Oversees implementation and evaluates care plans
• Administers medications and IV therapies
• Supervises team members and students
• Mentors and precepts new staff
• Ensures a safe and secure environment for patients and staff
• Participates in discharge planning and transition of care
• Documents findings in the medical record
• Advocates for patients and communicates with families
