Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Ohio or multistate licensure.
• Recently employed in hospital-based nursing within the past 5 years or completed refresher course.
• Participation in continuing education and unit-based Quality Program.
• Successful completion of the R.N. Orientation Program at Alliance Community Hospital.
• Maintains current BLS certification.
• Dialysis training preferred.
• Must be computer-literate.

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient data accurately to receiving provider at transitions of care.
• Provide and delegate patient care.
• Collaborate with care team for hourly rounding.
• Transcribe, observe, and coordinate physician orders.
• Access lab and radiology reports from computer.
• Notify physician of abnormal results promptly.
• Document clearly and concisely.
• Utilize patient care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning with the Clinical Nurse Leader.
• Initiate and document IV therapy.
• Assist with orientation of staff and students.
• Coordinate patient/family teaching.
• Care for medications via MAR.
• Regularly check emails and online learning tasks.
• Delegate care with clinical judgment and accountability.
