Job summary

Alliance Community Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to coordinate patient care and lead nursing activities across units. The role emphasizes accurate data communication, care delegation, and effective collaboration with the healthcare team during hospital stays.

The nurse will participate in discharge planning and IV therapy administration, while mentoring new staff and supporting ongoing education; completion of unit-specific orientations is expected.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• Hospital-based nursing experience within the past 5 years, or completion of an RN refresher course.
• Shows evidence of continuing education and participation in unit-based quality programs.
• Successful completion of the Alliance Community Hospital RN orientation program.
• Maintains current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Accurately communicates patient data to receiving providers at transitions of care.
• Delivers and delegates patient care.
• Collaborates with care team for hourly rounding.
• Transcribes and coordinates physician orders.
• Monitors and coordinates lab and radiology reports.
