Job summary

Ascension Health seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care for behavioral health patients. Responsibilities include conducting bio-psychosocial assessments, formulating a nursing plan of care, and participating in treatment planning with the team.

You will implement care plans, co-lead group therapy, and continuously evaluate patient progress, adjusting goals and interventions with the multidisciplinary team as patient status changes.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license.
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date.

Your future role at a glance

Provides direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the facility.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Performs initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice. Develops a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
• Participates in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient.
• Implements nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conducts and/or co-leads group therapy sessions for patients.
• Evaluates patient's response to interventions and revises nursing plan of care as needed. Collaborates with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
