Job summary

Ascension is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Adolescent Psychiatry unit at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI. This full-time night shift role involves three 12-hour shifts per week from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with weekend and holiday rotation.

You will assess, plan, and implement nursing care within a dynamic treatment team and support adolescent patients and their families. Qualified candidates hold a Wisconsin RN license, BLS certification, and a nursing diploma.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license and BLS certification.
• Diploma in nursing from accredited program.
• Ability to participate in treatment planning and team conferences.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans aligned with master treatment plan.
• Co-lead group therapy sessions for adolescent patients.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care as status changes in collaboration with the treatment team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Performs initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice. Develops a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
• Participates in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient.
• Implements nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conducts and/or co-leads group therapy sessions for patients.
• Evaluates patient's response to interventions and revises nursing plan of care as needed. Collaborates with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
