Ascension in Mequon, Wisconsin is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg department. This full-time night-shift role focuses on implementing personalized care plans, coordinating a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring safe, effective patient care.

You will translate physician orders, document care steps, and support families through discharge planning. Requires a nursing diploma, Wisconsin RN license (or multi-state license), and BLS within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider must be obtained within 1 month of hire date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing (or current multi-state/Compact state license).
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required or equivalent licensure.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead the implementation of personalized care plans, continuously monitoring patient progress to ensure every individual receives the right intervention at the right time.
• Coordinate a multidisciplinary team of specialists to provide a seamless, holistic care experience that prioritizes the patient's clinical and emotional needs.
• Translate complex physician orders into compassionate bedside actions, maintaining the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence.
• Advocate for patients throughout their recovery journey, documenting every step of the care process to ensure clear communication and high-quality outcomes.
• Facilitate comprehensive discharge planning with the healthcare team to ensure patients and their families feel confident and supported as they transition home.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
