Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the Advanced Heart Care team for full-time night shift in the 48-bed Progressive Cardiac Care Unit.

You will deliver compassionate cardiac care to adults and support complex procedures under the Joint Commission-certified program. The role requires an Indiana RN license, BLS within 30 days of hire, and hospital experience.

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Indiana RN license required before hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a 48-bed Progressive Cardiac Care Unit for adults with cardiac conditions.
• Support procedures for Pacemaker/Defibrillator placements and post-catheterization interventions.
• Provide pre-surgical care for VAD, CABG and heart transplants and manage hypertensive crises.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• 48-bed Progressive Cardiac Care Unit specializing in adult cardiac disease management.
• Joint Commission Certified in Advanced Heart Failure Care.
• Treats conditions including Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, CAD, ACS, STEMI, and Pulmonary Hypertension.
• Manages procedural care for Pacemaker/Defibrillator placements and post-catheterization coronary interventions.
• Provides pre-surgical care for VAD, CABG, and heart transplants, as well as treatment for hypertensive crises.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
