Job summary

Ascension’s St. Vincent Stress Center in Indianapolis, IN, seeks an Adolescent Psychiatry registered nurse for day shifts. The role is full-time, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, with every third weekend and holiday rotations, located in an inpatient behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice.
• Develop and implement nursing plans of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with facility policies.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to plan and revise goals and interventions.
• Implement nursing plan of care and co-lead group therapy sessions for patients.
• Evaluate patient responses and revise nursing plans as needed in collaboration with the team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the facility.

• Perform initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice. Develop a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age‑related and problem‑specific needs of each patient.
• Implement nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conducts and/or co‑leads group therapy sessions for patients.
• Evaluate patient's response to interventions and revises nursing plan of care as needed. Collaborate with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
