Job summary

Ascension NICU is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for full-time night shift in Indianapolis, IN. You will provide direct neonatal nursing care, implement care plans and coordinate multidisciplinary team efforts to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care following unit policies and procedures.
• Develop and monitor individualized patient care plans and communicate status to the team.
• Act as primary coordinator of disciplines for coordinated patient care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and coordinate discharge planning with the care team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
