Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in South Dakota seeks a Registered Nurse to support staffing across our regional network. The role spans PRN, part-time, and full-time contracts with flexible scheduling and weekly pay.

You will provide compassionate care, administer medications, monitor vitals, and document care across home care and facility settings. Assignments may include acting as charge nurse, wound care, PEG feeding support, and on-call coordination.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in South Dakota or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous RN experience preferred.
• Must maintain required certifications and standards.
• Provide compassionate, professional nursing care in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs and provide compassionate, individualized care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and per protocols.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and ROM exercises.
• Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, respirations).
• Provide wound care and monitor healing.
• Care for patients with PEG tubes and assist feeding needs.
• Administer infusions and monitor responses/complications.
• Conduct nursing assessments and adjust care plans as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Perform other nursing duties within RN scope.
• Capacity to act as charge nurse for the scheduled shift.

Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing compassionate, individualized care
• Administering medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols
• Assisting patients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations
• Providing wound care and monitoring wound healing
• Providing care for patients with PEG tubes and assisting with related feeding needs, as applicable
• Administering infusions and monitoring patients for responses or potential complications, as applicable
• Conducting nursing assessments and monitoring patients for changes in condition that may require adjustments to their plan of care, medications, or medical equipment
• Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Performing other nursing duties as assigned within the RN scope of practice
• Assignment dependent: Capacity to act as the charge nurse on the floor for the entirety of scheduled shift

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota, or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous RN experience highly preferred
• Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings
