Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for staffing assignments across our regional communities. The role offers $45-47 per hour, paid weekly, with flexible scheduling (PRN, part-time, and full-time options) and a 24/7 on-call support team.

The RN will provide daily living assistance, administer medications, monitor vitals, perform wound care, and conduct nursing assessments. Candidates must hold an SD RN license or be eligible by reciprocity, with prior RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in South Dakota or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Previous RN experience highly preferred
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide compassionate, individualized care
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and facility protocols
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
• Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, respirations)
• Provide wound care and monitor healing
• Care for patients with PEG tubes as applicable
• Administer infusions and monitor for adverse reactions
• Conduct nursing assessments and adjust care plans as needed
• Complete accurate clinical documentation
• Perform other RN duties within scope
• Act as charge nurse on the floor for scheduled shifts when assigned

Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing compassionate, individualized care
• Administering medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols
• Assisting patients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations
• Providing wound care and monitoring wound healing
• Providing care for patients with PEG tubes and assisting with related feeding needs, as applicable
• Administering infusions and monitoring patients for responses or potential complications, as applicable
• Conducting nursing assessments and monitoring patients for changes in condition that may require adjustments to their plan of care, medications, or medical equipment
• Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Performing other nursing duties as assigned within the RN scope of practice
• Assignment dependent: Capacity to act as the charge nurse on the floor for the entirety of scheduled shift

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota, or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous RN experience highly preferred
• Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings
