Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Des Moines, IA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our home care team. We offer PRN, part-time, and full-time contracts with flexible scheduling and 24/7 on-call support.

The RN will administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with ADLs, and document care accurately. Active SD RN license or reciprocity eligibility is required. Weekly pay and eligibility-based benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in SD or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous RN experience preferred.
• Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards.
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing compassionate, individualized care.
• Administering medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols.
• Assisting patients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations.
• Providing wound care and monitoring wound healing.
• Providing care for patients with PEG tubes and assisting with related feeding needs, as applicable.
• Administering infusions and monitoring patients for responses or potential complications, as applicable.
• Conducting nursing assessments and monitoring patients for changes in condition that may require adjustments to their plan of care, medications, or medical equipment.
• Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Performing other nursing duties as assigned within the RN scope of practice.
• Assignment dependent: Capacity to act as the charge nurse on the floor for the entirety of scheduled shift.
