Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support staffing across our Sioux Falls region. You will provide compassionate, professional nursing care, administer medications, monitor vitals, and support patients with daily living activities in various settings.

The role offers flexible scheduling (PRN, part-time, full-time) with weekly pay and on-call support. SD-based licensure or reciprocity is required, with emphasis on quality patient care and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in SD or eligibility through reciprocity.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous RN experience preferred.
• Must maintain required certifications and standards.
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities with compassionate, individualized care.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and ROM exercises.
• Monitor and record vital signs regularly.
• Provide wound care and monitor healing.
• Care for PEG tube patients and assist with feeding as applicable.
• Administer infusions and monitor responses.
• Undertake nursing assessments and adjust care plans as needed.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation.
• Perform other RN duties within scope of practice.
• Act as charge nurse for the scheduled shift as assigned.

Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing compassionate, individualized care
• Administering medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols
• Assisting patients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations
• Providing wound care and monitoring wound healing
• Providing care for patients with PEG tubes and assisting with related feeding needs, as applicable
• Administering infusions and monitoring patients for responses or potential complications, as applicable
• Conducting nursing assessments and monitoring patients for changes in condition that may require adjustments to their plan of care, medications, or medical equipment
• Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Performing other nursing duties as assigned within the RN scope of practice
• Assignment dependent: Capacity to act as the charge nurse on the floor for the entirety of scheduled shift

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota, or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous RN experience highly preferred
• Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings
