Job summary

Ascension Saint Joseph in Chicago, IL is seeking an adaptable Registered Nurse to deliver care across Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Headache units. You will join a day shift team with PRN coverage, integrating quickly into diverse specialty settings.

You will assess and implement care plans, monitor patient conditions, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely interventions and excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• Illinois RN license prior to hire
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• - Deliver high-quality, adaptable nursing care across diverse, fast-paced environments including Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Headache units, with a proven ability to rapidly integrate into diverse specialty care settings.
• - Assess, implement, and monitor comprehensive patient care plans, meticulously tracking and communicating critical shifts in patient condition to ensure timely interventions and absolute accuracy in executing physician orders.
• - Serve as the central care coordinator across multidisciplinary healthcare teams, seamlessly managing patient needs and cross-functional collaboration to optimize outcomes and continuity of care in high-acuity environments

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• - Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preference:

• - 1 year med surg and telemetry RN experience.
