Job summary

Cambridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time nurse for the night shift (11pm-7am) including weekends. The role involves comprehensive patient care, medication administration, and coordination of care with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse required.
• Certification and/or registration as a nurse is required.

Responsibilities

• Incorporates age-specific needs, provision of care, procedures and treatments.
• Accurately completes routine tasks without supervision.
• Communicates resident information and plan of care during shifts and handoffs.
• Administers medications according to the five rights and documents administration.
• Performs treatments using sterile or clean technique.
• Administers external feedings.
• Demonstrates the center's mission and values through professional excellence.
• Completes care-related activities within scheduled shift times.
• Cooperates with reassignments to support resident care.
• Reports and suggests solutions to nursing management for resident care problems.
• Delegates resident care issues to appropriate nursing management.

Functions

• Incorporates age-specific needs, provision of care, procedures, and treatments.


• Accurately completes routine tasks without the need of supervision.


• Communicates pertinent resident information and plan of care before breaks, during transfer, and at shift report.


• Accurately administers medications according to the five rights of medication administration and documentation of same.


• Accurately performs treatments utilizing sterile or clean technique.


• Accurately administers external feedings.


• Demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of Cambridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center through professional excellence.


• Completes resident care-related activities within scheduled shift time periods.


• Cooperates with reassignments made in the interest of resident care.


• Reports resident care problems and possible solutions to the appropriate nursing management personnel.


• Delegates resident care problems and possible solutions to the appropriate nursing management personnel.
