Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist in Virginia to perform breast imaging and DEXA scans, following ARRT, ACR, and MQSA guidelines. The role includes assisting radiologists in invasive procedures, documenting patient history, and maintaining safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT Diagnostic Radiology certification, Mammography registration (preferred or within 1 year), and a strong commitment to patient education and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• ARRT diagnostic radiology certification and registration required.
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography preferred or within 1 year.
• State licensure preferred where the job is performed.
• BLS certification required at hire for certain locations; preferred or required prior to independent care.

Responsibilities

• Perform all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assist radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique.
• Correlate clinical history with procedures and document for licensed providers.
• Operate breast imaging equipment and select exposure factors.
• Apply radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Ensure patient safety during mammography procedures.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participate in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
