Job summary

Elior Living, operating as Cura-Hospitality, seeks an experienced registered dietitian to join the healthcare team at Berks Heim Nursing Home in Leesport. You will assess nutritional needs of patients/residents and implement interventions to maintain or improve their nutritional status.

You will educate staff and residents, adhere to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement programs to enhance quality of life.

Qualifications

• Passed CDR exam or eligible per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Completes 75 hours CE every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining services and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
