Job summary

Elior Living is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join the healthcare team at Berks Heim Nursing & Rehab in Leesport. You will assess nutritional needs, implement interventions, and work with the care team to support residents' quality of life.

Responsibilities include educating staff, adhering to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and contributing to ongoing quality improvement in dining and nutrition services. Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or eligible.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
