Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare team at Berks Heim Nursing Home in Leesport. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and improve residents' quality of life in alignment with their goals.

Responsibilities include educating staff and residents, maintaining compliance with standards, and collaborating with departments to implement nutrition policies and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Passed the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
