Job summary

Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a registered dietitian to plan and deliver resident-focused nutritional care in a long-term care setting. You will follow physician orders and comply with federal and state standards while adhering to facility dietary policies.

The role requires an active RD license, CODR registration, and LTC experience. The facility offers a supportive team environment, a sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition with active Registered Dietitian license.
  • Active membership and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Two years of experience as a professional dietitian or dietetic technician in long-term care with some admin responsibility, or one year as a registered consulting dietitian.
  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver nutritional care to residents per physicians' orders and standards.
  • Follow health, sanitary and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Maintain established standards of practice within the community's dietary program.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition
Active RD license
Commission on Dietetic Registration
2 years LTC experience or 1 year RD consulting

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to plan and deliver nutritional care to residents in accordance with the physicians' orders and with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition and must hold an active state license as a Registered Dietitian.

  • Must maintain active membership and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

  • Must possess two (2) years of experience as a professional dietitian or dietetic technician in long-term care with some administrative responsibility, or one (1) year experience as a registered consulting dietitian.

  • Must possess working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.

Shift and Wage:
  • Full Time Opportunity Available

  • Shifts Needed: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday

  • Salary: Negotiable

  • Sign On Bonus: $5,000

    • Paid Out Quarterly Over One (1) Year
