Job summary

Saber Healthcare Group in Bon Air, VA is seeking a Registered Dietitian to plan and deliver nutritional care to residents in accordance with physician orders and current regulatory standards. You will follow health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintain established dietary standards across the community.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition, active RD license, and ongoing COD registration. Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition and an active state RD license.
• Maintain active membership and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Two years in long-term care as a professional dietitian or dietetic technician, or one year as a registered consulting dietitian.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver nutritional care to residents per physician orders and regulatory standards.
• Follow health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintain dietary standards.
• Collaborate with facility administration on Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to plan and deliver nutritional care to residents in accordance with the physicians' orders and with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition and must hold an active state license as a Registered Dietitian.
• Must maintain active membership and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Must possess two (2) years of experience as a professional dietitian or dietetic technician in long-term care with some administrative responsibility, or one (1) year experience as a registered consulting dietitian.
• Must possess working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.
