Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services seeks a Registered Dental Assistant or OA to support an Orthodontic practice, assisting the doctor, taking x-rays, and ensuring clean, ready rooms for treatment.

The role requires dental assistant certification with California licensure; BLS, x-ray, and coronal polish certifications are expected. Spanish bilinguals are preferred as some patient communication may be in Spanish.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures.
• Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays.
• Prophy teeth.
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene.
• Charts and treatment plans with doctor.
• Sterilizes instruments.
• Sets up and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment.
• Take IO's.
• Charting.

Summary

The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range

$23.00 to -$28.00 (based on experience) we pay millage for traveling and Shift Differential pay for assigned offices -

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures

Education and/or Experience
