Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and assisting doctors during procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. The position offers a competitive pay range of $19.71-$27.00 per hour, based on experience, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Certification from dental college or 3+ months related experience preferred.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures.
• Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays.
• Prophy teeth and instructs patients on oral hygiene.
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor; sterilizes instruments.
• Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment; take IOs; charting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
• Prophy teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
• Take IO's
• Charting
• Sealants, if applicable

Education and/or Experience

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• BIlingual in Spanish, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• California Registered Dental Assistant License
• X-Ray Certification
• Coronal Polish Certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Sealant Certification, preferred
