Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our busy pediatric dental practice in California. You will support care delivery by preparing rooms, passing instruments, taking x-rays, and assisting doctors across pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and anesthesia settings.

The role requires an active California RDA license, X-ray certification, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• California Licensed or Certified Dental Assistant required.
• X-ray certification and related pediatric/ortho exposure preferred.
• Current BLS certification is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor in procedures.
• Operate x-ray equipment and take radiographs.
• Prophy teeth and instruct patients on oral hygiene.
• Chart and plan treatments with doctor.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms.
• Take IOs, perform charting and sealants when applicable.

Busy fun and friendly dental office. You can fully utilize your RDA skills, and Dental Assistant skills working with Pediatric Dentists, Orthodontists and Anesthesiologists.

Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range: $21.83-$29.23/hour (Based on experience) Plus Bonus

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists the doctor in procedures

• Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
• Prophy teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments

• Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
• Take IO's
• Charting
• Sealants, if applicable

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or trainingOR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• California Registered Dental Assistant License
• X-Ray Certification

• Coronal Polish Certification
• Current BLS certification
• Sealant Certification, preferred
