Job summary

ABA A Step At A Time Care is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in home, school, or community settings and to support client progress under BCBA supervision.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to pass a background check, and have reliable transportation. Prior ABA experience is a plus but not required; compensation ranges with experience include benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Background check clearance required.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
• Experience in ABA therapy or working with children is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in-home, in-school, or in-community.
• Implement treatment plans designed by a BCBA.
• Collect and document data on client progress.
• Collaborate with families and team members to ensure client success.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment during therapy sessions.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for clients.
• Abide by the BACB's code of ethics for Registered Behavior Technicians.
• Continue with professional development.

Behavior Technician (BT) Duties and Responsibilities:

Behavior Technician (BT) Compensation and Schedule:

• Pay Range: $20 - $30/hour
• Part-Time: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM and Tue & Thursday will be added during the summer break
• Location: Astoria, Queens - NY

Behavior Technician (BT) Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Previous experience in ABA therapy or working with children is a plus but not required.
• Ability to pass background check.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
