Job summary

ABA A Step At A Time Care in Midtown, New York, is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in homes, schools, or community settings. You will implement plans created by a BCBA, collect progress data, and collaborate with families to promote client success.

Part-time position with competitive pay, flexible schedules, and opportunities for growth. In-person supervision by a BCBA, training, and benefits are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• ABA therapy or child interaction experience is preferred.
• Ability to pass background check is required.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
• Proven ability to work 1:1 with clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in-home, in-school, or in-community.
• Implement treatment plans designed by a BCBA.
• Collect and document data on client progress.
• Collaborate with families and team members to ensure client success.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment during therapy sessions.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for clients.
• Abide by the BACB's ethics for Registered Behavior Technicians.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.

Behavior Technician (BT) Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in-home, in-school, or in-community.

• Implement treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

• Collect and document data on client progress.

• Collaborate with families and team members to ensure client success.

• Maintain a safe and positive environment during therapy sessions.

• Maintain confidentiality and respoect for clients.

• Abide by the BACB's code of ethics for Registered Behavior technicians.

• Continue with professional development.

Behavior Technician (BT) Compensation and Schedule:

• Pay Range: $20 - $29/hour

• Part-Time: Monday and Wednesday 2:45 - 6:30 PM + Friday 3 - 6:30 PM

• Location: Midtown, NY

Behavior Technician (BT) Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; BA preferred.

• Previous experience in ABA therapy or working with children is a plus.

• Ability to pass background check.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
