Job summary

Centria Autism in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Registered Behavior Technicians. You will work one-on-one with children with autism under the supervision of a BCBA to implement individualized intervention plans and teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training. The role emphasizes patience, compassion, teamwork, and physical tasks to assist children up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and TB test if not on file within a year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must obtain RBT certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under a BCBA supervision to implement behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Reduce interfering behaviors and track progress as part of a treatment team.
