Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support to children and adults with Autism and related conditions in home-based or community settings. You will collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to implement behavior plans and track progress in each session.

The role offers a competitive hourly pay range of $24–$27, weekly paychecks, mileage reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs
• Strong communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Either:
• Completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or
• At least one year of experience working with children as a Child Development professional, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician
