Job summary

Maxim Healthcare seeks a Registered Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support in home- or community-based settings for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related challenges. You’ll work with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to implement plans and document progress.

The role offers hourly pay of $23-$26 DOE, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities to grow in behavioral-health skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or at least one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder or similar needs.
• Help develop social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans under BCBA supervision.
• Record progress, milestones, and session details accurately.
• Create engaging, structured interactions in every session.

What You’ll Do

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges
• Help individuals build social and communication skills
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session

What You Bring

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs
• Strong communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Either:
  • Completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or
  • At least one year of experience working with children as a Child Development professional, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician
