Job summary

Compass, Inc. is seeking a Workplace Operations & Facilities Manager to lead the regional facilities strategy, ensuring offices are welcoming and productive for clients and staff.

You will coordinate with regional teams and third-party providers to keep spaces well-maintained and compliant with lease terms, budgets and safety standards. You will manage vendor networks, post-lease setups, capex projects, and risk mitigation across multiple buildings.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in facilities or Workplace Operations management.
• Minimum of 3 years experience managing supplier and vendors with contract management.
• Minimum of 3 years of project management.
• Familiarity in lease operations language and execution.
• Working knowledge of commercial MEP systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire and life safety, electrical distribution.
• Excellent communication, organization and writing skills.
• Must be able to work independently or on a team.
• Proficiency in Zendesk.
• Willingness to travel 25–30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for regional teams and vendors within a portfolio.
• Develop a robust network of vendors and manage contracts and performance.
• Oversee post-lease and new expansion office setups with leases, equipment and service contracts.
• Escalation point for major facility maintenance emergencies.
• Assist in development and maintenance of the Workplace/Facilities budget.
• Oversee property insurance claims and related work.
• Manage approved project/CapEx budgets and vendor payments.
• Provide prompt responses to client and tenant requests to ensure excellent on-site experience.
• Improve processes, documentation, and systems for building safety and security.
• Enforce health, safety plans, and office handbook regulations.
