Job summary

Compass is seeking a Workplace Operations & Facilities Manager to lead facilities and services across a regional portfolio. You will manage vendors, contracts, post-lease projects, and safety programs, ensuring top-tier office experiences for tenants and clients alike.

You will partner with third-party providers, coordinate with internal teams, and oversee budgets and CapEx. Travel across regions is expected to maintain office quality and performance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in facilities or Workplace Operations management.
• Minimum of 3 years experience managing supplier and vendors with contract management.
• Minimum of 3 years of project management.
• Familiarity with lease operations language and execution.
• Working knowledge of commercial MEP systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire and life safety, and electrical distribution.
• Excellent communication, organization and writing skills.
• Must be able to work independently or on a team.
• Proficiency in Zendesk.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks up to 25 lb.
• Willingness to travel 25–30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for regional teams and vendors within a portfolio.
• Develop a robust network of vendors and monitor contracts and performance.
• Oversee post-lease and construction aspects for new expansion offices and set up.
• Act as escalation point for large facility maintenance emergencies.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the Workplace/Facilities budget.
• Oversee property insurance claims and related work.
• Manage approved project/CapEx budget for workplace ops and vendor payments.
• Provide prompt responses to client and tenant requests for offices.
• Improve processes and tools for building safety and security with security partners.
• Enforce health and safety protocols and office handbooks.
