Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences across multiple client facilities. The role includes training local staff, troubleshooting processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

You will travel regionally, operate plant equipment, collect samples, and support start-ups with the SWOT team, contributing to reliable, compliant wastewater treatment across accounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, required.
• Willingness to learn and be able take instructions on Wastewater treatment processes
• Operational experience of site specific equipment preferred, including:
• 3+ years of experience in Wastewater treatment plant operations or related field required. Ability and desire to build and maintain a "team mentality"
• Prior experience in a traveling work role preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia facilities during vacations and unplanned absences.
• Develop and deliver hands-on training and electronic resources for technicians.
• Ensure industry standards and best practices in record keeping, lab testing, and operations.
• Support new account start-ups with the SWOT team and training of technicians.
• Provide troubleshooting support and proactive decision-making to local teams.
• Operate and control pumps, valves, and motors to regulate wastewater flow.
• Collect and test wastewater samples and maintain data records.
• Coordinate with client maintenance teams to maintain plant equipment.
