Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences across multiple facilities in the region. The role includes training local teams, maintaining plant operations, and supporting new account startups.

You will travel extensively, manage lab data, and implement process improvements to ensure compliance, safety, and efficiency. This position requires lifting, 12-hour shifts, and the ability to operate and troubleshoot complex water treatment systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical capability.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to rotating shifts and field sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous operational coverage of Veolia facilities during vacations and absences across multiple sites.
• Develop and train local technicians, including hands-on visits and creation of training materials.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, lab testing procedures, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Support new account startup projects with the SWOT team, including procedures and goals.
• Troubleshoot process issues, analyze lab data, and implement changes to prevent non-compliance.
• Operate pumps, motors, and valves to regulate wastewater flow and collect samples for testing.
