Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Wastewater Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences at Veolia contracted water and wastewater facilities. The role includes training local operations teams, troubleshooting processes, and supporting new account start-ups across the region.

Travel is extensive, with multi-site deployment and 24/7 availability for plant operations and client coordination. The position emphasizes safety, data integrity, and adherence to Veolia standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Willingness to learn and follow instruction on wastewater processes.
• 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or related field.
• Prior travel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia facilities during vacations and absences.
• Train and develop local technicians with hands-on visits and materials.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Support new account start-ups with SWOT team.
• Analyze lab data and implement process changes to ensure compliance.
• Operate pumps and valves to regulate flow into the wastewater plant.
• Collect and test wastewater samples per testing frequency.
• Maintain accurate client data records and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with maintenance for external services.
