Job summary

Veolia Group's Water Technology team seeks a field-based operator to cover vacations and absences across multiple facilities. You will help train local operators, support new account start-ups, and oversee safe, compliant operation of wastewater plants with routine, preventive and corrective maintenance.

Expect significant travel, 1–2 weeks at a time up to a month in some cases, with day and night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Willingness to learn and work in a traveling role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia facilities in designated region for vacations/absences.
• Develop and train local technicians; create training materials and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with lab testing procedures, maintenance, and safety programs.
• Support new account start-up projects and coordinate with SWOT team.
• Troubleshoot process issues and optimize treatment based on lab data.
• Operate pumps/valves, collect wastewater samples, and maintain records.
• Coordinate with maintenance and client teams for PM tasks.
• Provide leadership and ensure continuous operation across sites.
