Job summary

Veolia Group's Water Technology division seeks a field Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences at multiple client facilities in the region, train local technicians, and support start-ups.

Responsibilities include operating pumps and valves, sampling, record-keeping, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and providing hands-on training visits. The role requires significant travel, from 1–2 weeks up to a month.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with wastewater operations preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and clear communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate pumps, motors, and valves to control water flow and treatment.
• Collect and test wastewater samples; maintain accurate records.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Train and mentor local technicians; support new account start-ups.
• Communicate status and compliance with Veolia management and clients.
