Veolia Group is seeking a field-based Wastewater Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences across multiple facilities. The role involves operating treatment systems, performing maintenance, and collecting samples while training regional technicians.

Significant travel is required, with time away from home for 1–4 weeks as needed. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in wastewater operations, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to rotating day/night shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in wastewater treatment operations or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage at Veolia facilities during vacations and absences.
• Train local technicians and develop training materials.
• Ensure compliance with lab testing, safety, and maintenance practices.
• Operate pumps, valves, and motors to control flow in WWTPs.
• Collect wastewater samples and document data for reporting.
• Coordinate with regional teams and start-up projects as needed.
