Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking an Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences at contracted water and wastewater facilities. You will train local operations staff and support start-ups at new accounts, ensuring compliant and efficient plant operation.

You will operate pumps and valves, collect samples, maintain records, and perform routine and preventive maintenance. The role requires significant travel and flexibility to cover day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Wastewater treatment plant operations or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel and work off-hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia-operated facilities during vacations and absences.
• Train and develop local technicians across multiple sites.
• Ensure use of industry standards and best practices in operations and record-keeping.
• Support new account start-ups with task development and training.
• Collect and analyze lab data to identify treatment issues and implement changes.
